Is Dosti.space completely anonymous?
Yes. Dosti.space requires absolutely zero login. No emails, no passwords, no OAuth. We assign you a temporary identity in your browser, and our backend operates entirely in-memory, meaning your chats are never permanently saved to our database.
Is this a good Omegle alternative?
Absolutely. When Omegle shut down, we built Dosti.space to fill the void for fast, text-only random matchmaking. It uses a custom-built, lightweight WebSocket engine to pair you with strangers instantly.
How do the private chat rooms work?
Instead of clicking "Find Stranger", you can generate or type a custom 6-character Room ID. Share that exact code with a friend. Once they enter it, our server instantly creates an isolated room just for the two of you.
